Gursanjpreet Kaur

Gursanj is a delicate and slender girl who participated in BOWING for two years, gaining more confidence with each passing day until the BOWING BACK performance, where she, along with her friend Arshpreet, taught the Punjabi alphabet to over 400 people. It was in the beginning of the second year, during extracurricular sessions at the School of São Teotónio, that we saw Gursanj overcome her shyness and approach us through the games and dances we proposed. When we would take Gursanj home after rehearsals, she would invite us in, her mother would offer food, and welcome us with a sweet smile. Gursanj lent us a book that taught her alphabet, only asking that we never place it on the floor, nor loose it, for religious reasons and out of respect for its content.
