Prashant KhatriBack

During the BOWING BACK rehearsals, Rajendra brought a cousin to join our group for an afternoon. Prashant had just arrived from Nepal, and this was his first contact with Portuguese people. He sat with us and immediately started participating in the creative work, amidst nervous laughter and curious looks. He became part of the performance, and Madalena discovered his abilities and personality. A few months later, as Prashant was looking for work, Madalena remembered Mister José Paulo, an important and generous man from Monchique, who owned a large rural property, animals and a medronho (strawberry tree fruit) distillery. Currently, Prashant has been working with José Paulo for over a year, taking care of animals, chopping wood, tending to the gardens, participating in forest cleaning, and harvesting medronho. José Paulo is building a house for Prashant, where he can bring his family, who are still in Nepal. Prashant is very happy, and his story is part of the BOWING Hands-On project that Madalena has been developing since then.
