There is a carpet that travels around Odemira throughout the year. Tea is drunk on it and conversations take place. We're starting to build the BOWING DOC website, and the contribution of people who participated is significant. 'Conversations on the Carpet' are individual meetings on a carpet placed in a public space where we sit drinking tea and reflect with our guest on the nature of the BOWING project and how it impacted their lives. Ideas are discussed, stories are shared, and we make the carpet our house in the open air. The Conversations on the Carpet contributed to building the profile of each person who participated in them, and those can be found in the area of 'related memories'.
All the region's inhabitants live in direct contact with the phenomenon of migration and offer insights into their daily lives. With our 'Conversations on the Carpet', we want to build a prism through which to observe this reality from multi-faceted viewpoints, visions and experiences. From there, we can plan together, develop events and discuss practical resolutions to human and artistic problems. Ideas are offered and people are invited to intervene directly in the BOWING DOC project as collaborators - offering ideas and getting involved in their realization.
