Sushant Adhikari

"I am Sushant Adhikari and I am from Nepal. I came to Portugal in July 2019. I am a really extroverted kid, always trying to be included in everything. The BOWING group came to our school as a fun and interesting hour during the week in which we could learn about a lot of new things and enjoy that time. When our school year ended the team contacted us for Summer BOWING, during the holidays. I was really excited for it. After that I joined the first BOWING performance. There was another one called BOWING BACK but I wasn’t in it because I had moved to another city, Lisbon, so I couldn’t join them but I really wish I had. This year, even though I am living away, I still joined Summer BOWING and it was really fun. I met a lot of new people along the way and learned about the culture of India, Bangladesh, Portugal. One thing I will never forget is when we were rehearsing in school for the ending of a short film, and it took us nearly an hour to finish that shot. I think it was above 30 degrees that day, we were out in the sun and even Matilde and Inês were tired of all of us at that point. That is the one of the moments I will never forget, we had found a new path. If that hadn't happened maybe I wouldn't have joined BOWING and would have missed out on one of my favourite lifetime experiences. I really can’t thank everyone enough, and I really want to thank Madalena, Inês and Matilde for this huge opportunity. Thank you."
