Saimon Kandel

He is a Nepalese teenager who lives in São Miguel in the countryside. In the summer, he often felt very lonely, so Summer BOWING program became a time for him to socialize with friends, pulling him out of his seriousness into various smiles, making him much more communicative and talkative. One day, while driving to his house, I asked him what he most desired to have or experience that hadn't happened yet. He told me he couldn't see well, needing glasses, and his parents couldn't afford to help. Support at school was also slow to arrive. So, we scheduled an appointment with an ophthalmologist, and off we went to Lagos on a winter afternoon. When I picked him up, his mother cried out of fear that we might have a car accident—Lagos seemed very far to her. We bought glasses according to his preferences. Today, Saimon has already changed frames and wears very trendy glasses that suit him very well.
